How To Get To Rethymnon :

By plane
There is no airport in Rethymnon, but there are several flights everyday from Athens
to Chania and Heraklion. The duration of the flight is 35 minutes. The airlines that fly regularly to Chania and Heraklion are:

Connections from the airport to Rethymnon city


Taxi
A taxi from Chania to Rethymnon takes 50 minutes and from Heraklion to Rethymnon
journey time is 60 minutes. A taxi from either Chania or Heraklion to Rethymnon
should cost approximately 50.00€ per taxi each way.

Bus
There is also a regular bus service from Chania and Heraklion to Rethymnon run by KTEL bus company

Connections from the city of Rethymnon to the University Campus
There are buses from the center of Rethymnon to the University Campus every 15 & 30 minutes past the hour. Journey time is 10-15 minutes and the cost is 1.00€ per person each way.

Connections from Heraklion & Chania Airports to Congress Hotels
Please note that on the 2nd and 3rd of July 2008, there will be buses operating on a continuous basis from the Heraklion & Chania Airports, to bring delegates to their Hotel destinations. On the 6th and 7th of July 2008 there will be buses operating on a continuous basis from the congress hotels to the Heraklion and Chania airports in order to transfer the delegates for their departure flights. Detailed shuttle bus schedules will be announced at a later time.


- If you wish to make transfer arrangements on days other than the above mentioned, please note that there will be an additional cost of €65.00 per taxi each way from Heraklion or Chania airport to Rethymno or vice versa.

Daily transportation to and from the University Conference site is included in the Congress fees.
